The Together Box A GrowthOps Brisbane Initiative

Frequently Asked Questions

What charity is this supporting?

All proceeds raised from the Together Box will be donated to the Brisbane Domestic Violence Service, an activity of Micah Projects.

What is the Together Box about?

This year COVID-19’s social distancing measures have shattered the normal ritual of Mother’s Day.

There are no cafes open to brunch in and family gatherings can only include 2 additional visitors. In fact, those of us with older parents might not even be able to give our mum a hug on the 10th of May.

To make sure all families were able to connect with their beloved mothers and grandmothers either in person or at a distance during these extraordinary times we created the Together Box.

For $10, you’ll receive a beautifully illustrated present box. You can colour and decorate the outside of the box with love and fill the inside with all the ingredients that will make a perfect day for the Mum in your life.

The proceeds raised for every box sold will go to the Brisbane Domestic Violence Service. That means that giving to Mum also gives back to at-risk women in the wider community.

It’s not about what’s in the box, it’s about what they feel when the box is packed/delivered/opened/ shared. The contents of the box are up to you. It could be the ingredients of a yummy breakfast, brunch, a picnic lunch or a BBQ. It could be a new pair of hiking shoes so Mum can take that Mother’s day walk when things return to normal. You could even include a gift in the box from someone who can’t be with Mum on her day due to social distancing restrictions.

The most important thing is that box makes mum feel like the family is together even when they’re apart.

Can I buy one of the prefilled boxes?

Our boxes are sold empty. Any image of pre-packed boxes is for inspiration only on how you can bring your Together box to life for Mother's Day.

Can I buy more than 1 box?

Yes. Just update the quantity amount while ordering on our website.

Why is the box empty?

With social distancing measures in place, Mother’s Day celebrations are going to be a bit different this year. So, GrowthOps Brisbane has come up with The Mother’s Day Together Box, a social initiative to help mums, nanas and kids celebrate Mother’s Day together, even if they’re apart. The idea is to buy this beautifully illustrated (empty) box, colour it in with love and fill it up with goodies for your Mum’s perfect day!

No matter how you fill it, the key ingredient is spending time with Mum.
